Fishing Rules

  • Landing nets and weight slings to be dipped before fishing
  • Each angler to have suitable size landing net (no sharing)
  • Padded unhooking mats compulsory (no sharing)
  • Barbless hooks only
  • Strictly no rods to be left unattended or in care of another angler
  • All Carp to be returned to the swim where caught using a landing net
  • Do not hold fish with a cloth, or when standing or walking around
  • NO fixed rigs (nothing permanently fixed or tied on the line)
  • NO open fires
  • All litter to be taken away when you leave
  • NO excessive noise or bad language, please respect other anglers space
  • NO Boilies to be used as ground bait, all particles to be prepared correctly
  • All fish stock is the property of South View Fishery, thieves will be prosecuted
  • The management reserve the right to cancel or refuse permission to fish
  • Dogs must be kept on a lead and under control
  • NO keep nets (except match days)
  • NO night fishing
  • N0 Juveniles under 16 (unless accompanied by an adult)

Above are the general fishery rules, these rules are for the health of the fish and smooth running of the fishery. Anyone found contravening the rules will be asked to leave the fishery. Please read and understand them on entering the fishery complex, anything you are unsure about please ask. Environmental agency rod license required to fish (2 licenses for 3 rods) All persons entering South View Fishery do so entirely at their own risk.
